Already engaged with AI safety? Move faster.

The Talos Fellowship is for people who want to build an AI safety policy career in Europe. Deepen your knowledge of European AI governance, publish your own policy work, meet the people shaping the field, and build hands-on experience.

“The Talos Fellowship opened doors for me in AI policy and taught me how EU institutions really work.”

Antoine Levie, European Commission

How the fellowship works

Every fellow completes the Training, an Assignment and the Talos Summit. The placement is optional.

  1. Training

8 weeks of European AI governance with your cohort. Each week you read ahead, then join the Talos Weekly Seminar to discuss it with fellows and the Talos team.

    See the full curriculum
  2. Assignment

Write and publish your own policy work: a commentary or op-ed, or a policy initiative with a concrete milestone by week 7. We publish projects on the Talos website, and the top three receive prizes of up to €750 per person.

  3. Summit

6 days in person with your cohort. Learn how to pitch policy and plan your career in workshops, hear from AI safety expert speakers and meet the people working in European AI policy.

  4. Placement (optional)

6 months at a European think tank, organisation or government institution. Talos matches you with a host organisation, and you receive a stipend. Full-time is preferred.
